Alicia Keys in pastel

Alicia Keys was one of my favorite artists growing up.  I always enjoyed her piano playing combined with her soulful singing.  I drew her years ago in charcoal when I was much younger.  So, it was exciting for me to go back to doing a portrait of her in Soft Pastel, a medium that I never expected myself to enjoy using so much.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Until the next time, keep busy staying dizzy!

Daisy Ridley in Pastel

Daisy Ridley was a blast to draw in pastel.  A lot of my inspiration and influence for working on her portrait was how awesome her performance was as Rey in the most recent episode of Star Wars.

I enjoy seeing such a stunning heroine making a huge mark in the timeless epic of Star Wars.  Star Wars will be something to celebrate in a few months.  But the strong female character, when finally out in the media, is always such a big thing.  I'm hoping to fill my portrait gallery with more inspiring female characters.

The latest video featuring Daisy Ridley was really fun to make.  Kept my blood pumping and I felt very motivated working through.

Unil the next time, keep busy staying dizzy!

The Teal Monster is alive!

Welcome to the new year of 2016!

It's been quite a while since I've done any updating on the website and it feels like coming home to an old room that was left in a mess.  Hoping to have a lot of work (and more consistent updating) for the coming year.  I haven't been living under a rock all this time.  In fact, I've had a lot of adventures in the time I haven't been updating.

So if you have the time, come check out my new YouTube channel:

So until next time, keep moving forward.  (And I hope the next update won't take forever again)

A First of Firsts

With the new year and new month, I finally make my first post.  Even though I may have missed the chance to post an entry to usher in 2014, I can still catch up with ushering in the Lunar New Year.  The year 2013 was pretty busy for me especially with finishing up classes and graduating.  That only means that 2014 is going to be busier for me especially with starting on new things.  There’s a lot of projects I have in line for this year and I’ll be posting up most of them up here.

Before moving on to more things, I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the people that I’ve had the opportunity of sharing this existence with.  You all know who you are (or maybe not).

Please drop by from time to time to check on what I’m up to.  Thanks again for visiting.
